Welcome to NVPNS!
NVPNS is a non-sectarian, non-profit preschool for children ages 2½, 3, 4 and 5 years old and has been a mission of the Presbyterian Church of New Vernon since 1985.
We are committed to creating a positive and nurturing first learning experience for your child. It is our mission to help children become confident learners and for our students to develop a lifelong love of learning. Our key features are:
Great teachers – Our dedicated professionals believe in the importance and value of a quality early childhood education. Most of our teachers have been with the school for over 10 years.
Strong Curriculum - We evaluate our program and update the curriculum annually. The staff at NVPNS remains in close contact with the area schools to ensure that we are on the cutting edge of what milestones are expected to be reached before your child partakes in his/her first classroom experience.
Beautiful Facility - Our nursery school was completely renovated in 2005 and offers large, separate classrooms for each class and a lovely outdoor playground.
Stay ‘n Play - We offer additional before and after-school care for your children. You can drop your child off 30 minutes early or extend their stay until 3 pm. The extended care is supervised by our teachers for a modest fee.
Parental Involvement - The home-school partnership is very important to successful early childhood development. Parents are welcome to participate in classroom activities, field trips or as a class parent. We believe in a strong teacher-parent relationship and have an open door policy for parents.
Informational Tours - We encourage you to visit our school and see our unique program in operation. Personalized tours are always available at mutually convenient times. Call or stop by our office and make an appointment with the Director.
