Curriculum & Enrichment
NVPNS provides a developmentally appropriate curriculum which meets the individual needs of young children. Our goal is to build a community of learners by providing children with enriching experiences to develop self-esteem, independence and strong cognitive, physical, social and language skills. We believe in a multisensory approach to learning.
Our classrooms are designed to be both child-centered and inspiring. Our children are active participants in a variety of daily activities. A hands-on learning environment offers children opportunities to experiment, ask questions, test theories and make new discoveries. We believe that play is children’s “work” and provides the foundation for academic learning.
We have recently adopted The Creative Curriculum for Preschool, a scientifically based and research-tested model. This model encourages teachers to use a variety of instructional approaches to teach content in language arts literacy, math, science, social studies and creative arts.
